Not all Australians are happy
Congratulations to John Howard on his latest FUD campaign. Fear, uncertainty and doubt about the future of Australia seems to have certainly contributed to another landslide victory for the Australian Liberal Party in the Federal Elections. Living in London I missed out on the endless TV campaigns warning of a descent into further terror if Labor were elected. However I do remember the postcard campaign urging citizens to be vigilent and report any suspicious activity. How embarassing to be Australian.
Choice soundbite from a SMH press letters page:
"Personal finance wins over community values
This election result means that the majority of Australians have chosen to live in an economy rather than in a society."
