This Thursday 12:30pm till 1:30pm there is going to be a mega student rally in the centre of Sydney to protest the Liberal government's latest attack on education. This time, Brendan Nelson and his cronies are doing a rather sly manuever - legislation to remove compulsary union fees for students - so removing all funding for student advocacy and activism in one fell swoop.

SA National Party votes to disband

Is this my imagination or is this one of the most positive news stories of recent times? Demonstrating that change can come from within, the political party that introduced apartheid to South Africa is calling it a day and apologising for "a system grounded in injustice".
