Python to C++

Google-sponsored Shedskin aims to combine the productivity of coding in Python with the run-time efficiency of C++. It will be interesting to see how this kind of code optimizer evolves, especially within the games industry where requirements for raw grunt power conflict with requirements for extensibility by non-hacker designer types.

Superstar VJ

Here we go... Just got some campaign spam from another local VJ asking people to vote for him in DJ Mag's "World's Top 20 VJs" comp. Vote for me too!

"To have your say in who should be in the Top 20 VJs simply e-mail us a list of your Top 5 VJs, DVJs or audiovisual artists to vjscan@djmag.com"

http://www.djmag.com/djtech009.php

And that's about as much campaigning as I have the stomach for at the moment.
