A flic on a little festival this side of Mars. It was shot on a Panasonic EZ-1 MiniDV camera, slurped into Windows 98 via a Matrox Marvel video capture card, edited on Premiere 4.2, and compressed using Xing Encoder 2.2 and RealEncoder.. The preview was produced in Flash 4 and Photoshop 5.

Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language files (SMIL pronounced 'smile') is an open standard for presenting multimedia on the web. SMIL is used here to automatically select the best Real Networks video stream for your internet connection. There are several otherl SMIL players available, although not all will support RealMedia.
Your PC has registered the Media Player to handle the file type 'SMIL Document'. Microsoft have withdrawn support for Real Networks media content. You will need to install a player that supports RealMedia content as described above. If you have already installed a RealMedia player, you will need to correct your File Type settings.
Go into any desktop folder and select View | Folder Options | File Types. In the 'Registered file types' list, select SMIL Document and click 'Edit'. Click 'Edit' in this window and then 'Browse' to select the Application used to perform action. Select your RealPlayer executable. The line should look something like
"C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe" /m application/smil
