Lesbians born female

Back in Australia, LBF is the new acronym on the block. Lesbians-born-female are up in arms about their failure to secure permission to hold an event, Lesfest 2004, that excludes male-to-female transsexuals. The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal orginally granted the organisers an exemption from equal opportunity laws which supported this stance. However, on learning that a complaint had been made, the Tribunal revoked their decision.

Debate has been raging in queer forums and the event appears to have been cancelled.
