Subterfuge, London Queer Cabaret at its finest, rolls into the Charterhouse Bar once again this Sunday.
One of my fave local bands T23 and the Psychedelic Circus are playing a gig to launch their first album "When the going gets Weird..." on Saturday the 6th of November at the Borderline.
The album is available for sale on ebay
Ever wondered what happens when you and your tinned soup are tracked by the same technology? New ways to process people. Not a pleasant thought considering the idealogues ruling the world at the moment. According to Bruce Schneier, the Bush adminstration is lobbying hard for a global standard in RFID-enabled, machine-readable passports.

"You're a web user. What do you think ideal e-enabled public services should look like?"
An open consultation underway to collate views about how the UK e-government spending spree should be focused.
"...help set out the wish list. Otherwise we might end up with something we did not want."
Or something that only a few special interest groups want.
Congratulations to John Howard on his latest FUD campaign. Fear, uncertainty and doubt about the future of Australia seems to have certainly contributed to another landslide victory for the Australian Liberal Party in the Federal Elections. Living in London I missed out on the endless TV campaigns warning of a descent into further terror if Labor were elected. However I do remember the postcard campaign urging citizens to be vigilent and report any suspicious activity. How embarassing to be Australian.
Choice soundbite from a SMH press letters page:
"Personal finance wins over community values
This election result means that the majority of Australians have chosen to live in an economy rather than in a society."
